International Greetings

From Commissioner Les Strong, Territorial Commander Australia Eastern:
"I am so pleased that we have been able to send members of our Mission Teams from Australia East to participate in what must be an exciting event for you.
My prayer is for you that the Lord will wonderfully bless and use the christian people engaged in evangelism at this time to raise the profile of Christianity and to lead people to an acceptance of Christ as Saviour."

From Major Richard Gaudion, Private Secretary to the General in London, England:
"The General would wish you to pass on to all those involved in the campaign his best wishes and God's blessing on all they strive to do in His name. May the campaign reap rich rewards for the Kingdom."

From Major Rob Garrad, Private Secretary to the Chief of the Staff in London, England:
"Many congratulations on the careful planning that has gone into this wonderful outreach opportunity! You can be assured that many people here will be bringing you, your officers and soldiers before the throne of grace in prayer, seeking His rich blessing upon every endeavour that will be made during these days.
Whatever may happen on the pitch - we believe that those who serve the Lord during the next month will be on the winning team!"

From Commissioner Thorleif Gulliksen, International Secretary for Europe:
"I commend the territory for the initiative in arranging the "2006 FIFA World Cup(TM) Evangelistic Campaign". With 85 Salvationists representing 13 Territories and Commands this is really the largest international mission team event we have seen in Europe ever (as far as I know).
I do congratulate and thank all involved. I am proud of you!
With kind regards and may God bless you."

From Commissioner Chun, Kwang-pyo, Territorial Commander of Korea:
"World Cup TM fever has certainly struck the Republic of Korea, with the first match to be played by the national team against Togo this evening in Frankfurt. "Street cheering" is being planned in designated public places by the authorities, with the game to be broadcast live on gigantic television screens. It is all very reminiscent of 2002 when the World Cup TM was co-hosted here as well as in Japan.

So we think of you at this very busy time and pray God’s blessing to be upon all involved in the evangelistic campaign being run in conjunction with the 2006 FIFA World Cup TM in Germany. I am glad it was possible to provide a team of young people from the Korea Territory to assist in this ministry. May many souls be won for Him through this special endeavour."
